Carpet Cleaning Companies Should ALWAYS Screen Their Employees...

Most people never ask the carpet cleaning company they're hiring if they run background checks on all their employees. You never know if the carpet cleaning company you're hiring to come into your home is hiring convicted criminals or possible a wanted fugitive. Furthermore, you should also ask if they drug test their employees as well. Rest assured that all of our employees are screened for background checks and drug tested.

YOUR CARPET CLEANER SHOULD BE LICENSED & INSURED. IS YOURS?

In many cities like Albuquerque, small carpet cleaning companies come and go rapidly. Ask any carpet cleaning company that you call if they are licensed in New Mexico.

Every carpet cleaning company should also carry commercial auto insurance, but also some type of umbrella insurance that covers the particular services they offer.

CARPET STEAM CLEANING VS. CARPET HOT WATER EXTRACTION

Did you know a lot of carpet cleaning companies claim they steam clean your carpet but the water they use is actually just hot water and not a gas?

The primary difference between hot water extraction vs carpet steam cleaning is the temperature of the water used during the cleaning process. It’s basic science, really.

Carpet steam cleaning must actuallyuse steam. I know—who would have guessed? The water must be boiled by a truck mounted unit to the point that it can transform into a gas. Therefore, the temperature has to be over 212 degrees Fahrenheit (the boiling point for water).

Maximum square footage allowed per area cleaned.

Keep in mind that every carpet cleaning company has a maximum square footage allowed per area cleaned. It is important to ask this question when getting a quote simply because if your living room is 450 square feet and a carpet cleaning company has a limit of 100 square feet per area, then when the carpet cleaning company arrives at your residence to clean your living room they are going to consider this as 5 rooms. This is simply because the living room exceeds their maximum square footage per area by 4.

Does The Quoted Price Include Speciality Treatments?

These special treatments that may not be included in the quote are, enzymes for pet stains/pet odor, high traffic area treatment, furniture moving, and carpet protection applications. Most of the time these are additional charges that aren't included in the quote for carpet cleaning.

Is Your Carpet Cleaner Licensed & Insured?

Ask the carpet cleaning company that you call if they are licensed with the state of New Mexico. You can also check for this online through different local government websites.

Every carpet cleaning company should carry insurance related to the services they offer in-order to cover any damages that might incur while servicing customers. This doesn't mean simple personal auto coverage, they should carry a umbrella insurance policy on their business and commercial auto on their vehicles. It is also a good idea to ask the carpet cleaning company that you choose if they run background checks and drug test on all their employees.

Prices seem too good to be true?

If a price sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Typically, you get what you pay for, and the cost of the service should never be the main reason for choosing a particular carpet cleaning company. Look at the fine print on ads or when you talk to the company ask them about maximum allowed square footage per area or room.

Remember, you want to use a company that isn't using harsh chemicals that will harm your family, pets, or carpet. Some chemicals leave a residual behind which can cause rapid re-soiling. This happens when the sticky residual collects the dirt off your shoes like a magnet.
